Yoga for Absolute Beginners

Start at the beginning with this course for absolute beginners. Classes begin with guided relaxation so that students can learn to fully relax their bodies and quiet their minds. Time is taken at the beginning of every class to gently warm up the body, focusing on problem areas such as neck and shoulders, or lower back and hips. Basic asanas (postures) w ill be taught; seated, standing, balancing and twists, as well as the importance of working with the breath. Some basic pranayama (breathing exercises) will also be taught. Lots of attention to detail and hands-on assisting will help students to find ease and comfort in their practice.
